The name Zhem (pronounced "gem") has roots in Montana — a state known for its indigenous gemstones and minerals. Take the initials J.M., add a stylized spelling, place the letters Z and H in front to form the soft "J" sound they make together, and you have something that sounds like a gemstone and looks like nothing else.
The Z mark itself draws partial inspiration from a 45rpm record adapter — a nod to the physical history of DJing and the tactile craft of working with sound. Sharp, angular, and forward-leaning: it moves the way music does.
Zhem Productions was built on the belief that real communication creates real experiences, and real experiences create real memories. That's been true since 1999, and it's still true now.
